Public education in Virginia is moving backward. Test scores are down. Learning loss is real. Politics has entered the classroom. We must turn things around; it’s time to put students first so they can thrive.
We can do it by:
- Establishing better standards to measure our schools,
- Offering more advanced curriculum, not less, and
- Giving parents more options, by promoting public-private partnerships that promote innovation in education.
